Doug de Nada

Very good friend of mine passed away a few days ago from a quick battle with lymphoma.. After DJing a tribute set of strange Funk and Afrobeat at his DJ night. I thought it would be fitting to dedicate this weeks posts to stuff I learned about from Doug. With all my love going out to Lori and his family.

Doug is maybe the only other black person I know who loved Krautrock as much as I do. We were talking Krautrock records a very very long time ago, and Doug was the first person to turn me on to Tortoise.. Great recommendation. SO glad he did.. that led to albums and albums of great listening.
